On the following pages will be found the names and brief records of the children of John Monroe and Margaret Ann Hetherington. He was below the average in height and weight and she was fairly tall but not large. By some strange means the sons were all six feet tall or more and most of them weighed more than two hundred pounds, and the daughters were taller than the average American woman.
